Ken Smith added to State Executive BoardUpdatedSunday September 27, 2020 byPhilip Marcoux.
We are pleased to announce the addition of Ken Smith to the executive board of Connecticut Babe Ruth Leagues. Ken will be the State Secretary, filling a spot that has been vacant for a year.
Ken has been involved with the former Southbury Youth Baseball and the current Pomperaug Youth Baseball for many years as a coach and board member. He also has been involved in the management of several Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Baseball tournaments during his time with the local leagues.
Ken recently retired from the healthcare industry and therefore he can give his full attention to his position as needed.
Ken Smith joins Bob Elinskas, Babe Ruth Baseball State Commissioner; Mike Haddad, Cal Ripken Baseball State Commissioner; Rob Beebe, Babe Ruth Softball State Commissioner; Bill Slifkin, State Treasurer and Phil Marcoux, Board Chairman.
We want to thank Lisa Cianflone for the work that she did during her time as secretary and I also want to thank Ken Smith for volunteering for the position.
